Traditions and treats come together to give birth to a multitude of simple dishes and tasty specialties that are now part of the Savoyard heritage.

Check out these traditional recipes in the Valley restaurants ( order of preference).

- The "matouille" : traditional dish of the Valley of Villards based mashed potatoes potatoes , fat tome (cheese), and often also bacon and onions. The matouille is a dish which usually eaten with a large green salad.
- The teillons : white finely chopped leeks , carrots, potatoes and cream coexist in a cast iron pot .
- The tartiflette : Reblochon and potatoes.
- The fondue : in our country where the Beaufort AOC is king, fondue is made most often the only Beaufort , not with three cheeses . At the end of the melt , a broken egg in cheese remains possible to finish the dish on a softer note for the taste buds !
